Bay Physiotherapy and Pilates

At Bay Physiotherapy and Pilates, we go beyond simply treating a single injury; we help you define a path to total health and wellness and then give you the hands-on treatment, support and education to help you reach your fitness and injury recovery goals.

For the Environment

From your initial evaluation with us you will receive customised one-on-one care. Your Physiotherapist will work closely with you and your physician to set goals and keep you motivated along the way. In the process, your health will improve and your injury will be rehabilitated. You will also receive information about injury prevention, learn areas for further focus, develop techniques for increasing overall fitness and ultimately feel better about yourself.

  • PILATES. Clinical Pilates combines therapeutic and remedial exercises to treat a specific injury or condition. It focuses on the re-training and recruitment of deep stabilising muscles (core stability) as well as improving posture, strength and flexibility. Clinical Pilates (as opposed to Fitness Pilates) identifies key issues and addresses them by applying carefully selected exercises.
  • SPORTING INJURIES. No matter what your level of activity or how you acquired your injury, at Bay Physio and Pilates, you can be confident that you will have professional and personalised care to help you return to your training regime or to meet your event targets, or to just return to your very best.
  • POST-OPERATIVE REHABILITATION. With over 16 years of practicing in the local area we have built strong, trusting relationships with GP's and orthopaedic surgeons. We have extensive experience in the following surgical procedures: Rotator cuff repairs, total joint replacements, shoulder surgery, knee reconstructions ankle surgery, spinal surgery, fracture reduction surgery.
  • CHRONIC PAIN. Challenging lifestyles and work practices can produce chronic symptoms of pain, stiffness, fatigue and general malaise that make it difficult to be at your best. We can identify stressors which contribute to chronic conditions and recurring symptoms and help to co-ordinate the best treatment and self-help options.
  • WOMEN'S HEALTH. Pelvic floor muscles may be stretched and weakened by pregnancy, child birth, heavy lifting, constipation, recurrent coughing or sneezing, high impact exercise, back/pelvic pain or pelvic surgery or may be affected by the hormonal changes during menopause. Pelvic Floor and bladder retraining exercises can be prescribed to help with incontinence.
  • CLASSES. Several types of Pilates, Legs 11 and Feldenkrais ® Awareness. For classes time at Batemans Bay and Moruya visit
